5 Spring Wedding Flower Ideas

As the mornings and evenings start to fill with soft sunshine, it looks like spring is finally starting to appear. It’s such an exciting time of year for me, as the garden begins to burst into colour and life. If you’re planning a spring wedding, it’s a very exciting time for you, too! Some of my favourite flowers are in season, and they’re just perfect for your big day. Here are 5 of the best spring blooms.

1 Tulips

You know spring has arrived when tulips start bursting into life. With so many varieties and colours to choose from, there truly is a tulip for every bride and wedding. Naturally elegant and totally timeless, tulips are a classic wedding flower - symbolising love and passion, is it any wonder why? Their pretty layers and cheerful tones make them the perfect choice for brides who love a bright pop of colour. And they make gorgeous table centrepieces, too.

2 Ranunculus

Full of springtime charm are beautiful ranunculus. With their delicate mass of petals in an array of pretty colours, ranunculus take centre stage in the most show-stopping of spring bouquets (they make excellent boutonnieres and corsages, too). From pale pink to deep cerise, they come in a broad spectrum of shades and work perfectly as a standalone flower, whilst also pairing beautifully with tulips, daffodils, sweet peas and blossom.

3 Anemone

Part of the buttercup family, and symbolising good luck, anemones are versatile due to the vast amount of colours they come in - choose from papery whites, blush pinks, striking reds and deep purples. The contrast of their black centres makes for a striking bouquet, bringing a touch of drama and elegance to the occasion. If simple contrasts are more your style, anemones work perfectly for modern monochrome and minimalist wedding themes, too.

4 Lilac

Fragrant, beautiful, soft lilac is spring in a bloom. Lilac show no signs of waning in popularity, dominating modern weddings with their stunning hues. Evoking ethereal elegance with their delicate petals, they are a welcome addition to any spring bouquet or table centrepiece.

5 Daffodils

One of the first flowers to bloom in spring, the humble daffodil represents new beginnings - the loveliest message for a wedding. Known for their prominent trumpets, these pretty flowers usually come in yellow and white shades and are beautifully uplifting wherever you use them on your big day.
