I’m Rachel, an artisan florist based in Colchester on the Essex Suffolk border.
Specialising in seasonal, nature led, garden inspired floral designs for weddings, events and occasions.
Growing up in the countryside I’m passionate about nature, the changing seasons and the colours they bring. This inspires my floristry and the flowers I like to use. I love working with different colour palettes and ingredients.
Shortly after training as a florist I established a small flower farm in 2019 where I grow my own flowers to use in my floristry. I’m a member of Flowers from the Farm and like to use British flowers wherever possible in my work, which is important to me. It’s lovely to have a connection with the flowers I use in my arrangements.
Many of the flowers I grow I also dry, preserving flowers and foliage to create everlasting designs, bringing the elements of nature to interiors. It’s a pleasure to work with flowers throughout their entire lifecycle from seed, to bloom to everlastings.
